Interview With Nancy Rynes

I’m excited to share a recent YouTube interview with Nancy Rynes.  We talked about near-death experiences, healing, and the importance of spreading love and creating community.

Update on 1/19/19:  My memoir, Angels in the OR: What Dying Taught Me About Healing, Survival, and Transformation, can be pre-ordered now. It is a #1 new release in several categories.  I would love it if you helped me make near-death experiences more mainstream.

  1. Thank you SO MUCH for doing this interview with Nancy Rynes! I’m currently RE-READING her book “Awakenings From the Light”, and getting more out of it the second time than the first. That’s a big deal for me because I HATE rereading books! But there’s so much good stuff in her’s, I felt compelled to read it again, and more slowly this time. Great book!

The thing I really appreciate about Nancy, is that for people like me, who have not had an NDE and have had very few supernatural experiences, is that she is just so down-to-earth and practical in her message. So much of what she communicates goes right to the core of my being, and is very convicting. I have to admit I don’t always like some of the messages, but I can’t argue against their truthfulness or importance. They really challenge me to become a better human being.

The thing I most appreciated from this interview was Nancy’s mentioning of her practice of contemplative prayer. I’ve been feeling very convicted that I need to begin practicing it myself, and this video has just been one of several ways God has been getting my attention. So for the first time in a long while, I spent some time in contemplation last night, and it was so peaceful! In a rather unusual move, instead of sacred texts like the Bible or the Imitation of Christ to prepare myself for prayer, I used Nancy’s own book, and it proved to be an excellent choice. I’ve been recommending her book to everyone!

And Tricia, thank you so much for doing this blog and all these videos, they have been a real blessing. Keep up the GREAT work!
